Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cumin Connect web application and related services ("Service") operated by Cumin Connect ("we", "us", "our"). By signing in or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Cumin Connect provides QR code and NFC-based customer feedback collection and Google review links for local businesses. We host the web application, store your business data, and serve the rating page your customers see when they scan a code.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. We do not create or store a password. Each Google account may operate one business. You are responsible for maintaining access to the Google account you use to sign in.

3. Free trial and payment

Every new business starts with a 30-day free trial at no cost and with no credit card required. After the trial, access to the dashboard and feedback is suspended until you pay. Plans are purchased as one-time payments (not subscriptions) through our payment provider, Cashfree. There is no auto-renewal. Your printed QR codes and NFC cards keep working while you are suspended. For ninety days after your trial ends, scans are still recorded and waiting in your dashboard when you pay; after that, an unpaid business sends customers straight to Google and nothing is recorded until you pay again.

Prices are listed on the homepage in Indian Rupees (INR). We may change prices at any time, but price changes do not affect time you have already paid for.

4. Refunds

If you are unhappy with the Service, contact us within 7 days of payment for a full refund. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion.

5. Review gating

The Service offers a "gated" mode that shows Google only to customers who give a high rating. This may violate Google's Business Profile policies and regulations in your jurisdiction (including the US FTC rule on fake and deceptive reviews). The setting carries a warning in the app. If you enable it, you accept full responsibility for any consequences, including review removal or profile suspension by Google.

6. Your data

You own your business data (business name, Google review link, links, feedback, analytics). We store it on Supabase (hosted on AWS). You can request a full export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
• Automate scans or submit fake ratings to inflate your own or deflate a competitor's reviews.
• Attempt to access another business's data or dashboard.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

8. Availability and liability

The Service is provided "as is". We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost reviews or lost business. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we will notify you via the email on your Google account. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
